Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong calendaring, filing, and document-preparation experience in civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and docketing requirements
  • Coordinate e-filings with state and federal courts
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings
  • Maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Assist with discovery organization and document management
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors
  • Provide general administrative support to litigation attorneys

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or legal secretary
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and legal case management systems
  • Experience with state and federal e-filing systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Legal assistant certificate or legal studies background preferred
